Here we are in November already...where has the Fall gone to??? Halloween has come & gone and we are now in day light savings time. At least the weather has been great!
Some upcoming events for this month:
Nov 11th (Tuesday) is Veterans Day and we are planning a flag burning ceremony at the "NEW" building on Hannaford Drive. We will have the Boys & Girls Scouts there also participating and will serve refreshments from our "Weenie Wagon".
Festivities start approximately at 10 a.m. And the building will be open for anyone who would like to take a walk thru.
On Saturday, Nov 15 our National Commander will be coming to York to tour our "NEW" building and host a Flag Raising ceremony. Our distinquished color guard will also be in attendance! Again, we will have refreshments and the building will be open for all to see.
This ceremony will take place approximately at 10 a.m.
We are planning a turkey dinner again this year on Thanksgiving Day from 12 to 4 p.m.
Come and Enjoy! The food last year was GREAT and everyone had a good time!
It will be free to members and $5.00 for guests.
Anyone interested in making a desert or helping out, please call Pat Lemay at 351-2877. Reservations are greatly appreciated. Please call the Legion at 363-0376.
