Cell Phones for Soldiers is a national organization that is becoming a huge success for our soldiers and their families across America. This is due to the effort of a couple of young Americans from Norwell, Massachusetts in conjuction with ReCellular as its exclusive recycling organization.
As of July 2010, we the American Legion Post 56 will become an official drop off point for "Cell Phones for Soldiers".
The purpose of this program is to collect old no longer used cell phones for recycling and turn them into phone cards for our troops both here and overseas. We believe that the men and women who serve our country should be able to contact their families whenever they have the opportunity. With these phone cards, they will be able to do this.
We are once again collecting "no longer used" cell phones. Please clean your phone and drop it off at the post any day of the week after 12:00 PM.
